Price comparison platform · Phase 1

A small Phase 1, on the stack Phase 3 will need.

You asked for a stack recommendation, a timeline and a Phase 1 price. Here they are. Energy first, blog included, built the way we build our own sites — so Phase 1 stays small and cheap while the foundation is still the right one for the comparison engine later.

/ 01 — The stack

The stack we build on, and already run ourselves.

LayerChoiceWhy this one
SiteReact and Tailwind, prerenderedEvery page is built to static HTML and served from the edge, so the first paint never waits on a database.
HostingCloudflare WorkersEuropean data localisation, and free at the traffic a new site sees. The same Worker later serves your tagging, your affiliate redirects and the comparison engine.
ContentMarkdown in the repositoryArticles publish on save, with no licence, no seats and nothing to keep patched. No CMS to buy, now or later.
DataCloudflare D1Nothing needed in Phase 1. It is where the comparison engine will read tariffs from in Phase 3.
MeasurementServer side GTM, first partyTagging served from a path on your own domain. No third party tagging host and no separate fee.

This is the stack ampliodata.io and our own product site run on, with a build and deploy pipeline that already exists. That is most of why Phase 1 is three weeks and €1,500 rather than a quarter and five figures — you are not paying us to learn it.

/ 02 — What Phase 1 includes

Everything needed to launch, and nothing else.

/ 01

Five page types

Home, energy landing, blog index with the tile and category layout, article, legal. Styled to Selectra and Peasy, the two references you sent.

/ 02

Publishing

Articles written as markdown beside the code and live on save. No licence, no seats, no admin screen to learn.

/ 03

GDPR and consent

European hosting, a named processor for each service, a consent banner on Consent Mode v2, and privacy, cookie and terms pages written against what the site actually does.

/ 04

Measurement

Server side tagging on your own domain and GA4, wired before launch rather than bolted on after. Roughly a third of sessions sit behind a consent banner; this is how they still get counted, legally.

/ 05

Launch

Performance pass, sitemap, Search Console, and a handover so you can publish without us.

Anything outside this list is quoted first

/ 03 — Timeline

Three weeks from kickoff to a live site.

Week 1Foundation and design
  • Kickoff, domain and hosting access
  • Stack provisioned on EU infrastructure
  • Page types styled to your references
  • Your sign off on the look
Week 2Build
  • Every page type built
  • Blog tiles and category breakdown
  • Publishing flow working
  • Staging site you can click through
Week 3Compliance and launch
  • Consent banner and Consent Mode v2
  • Server side tagging and GA4 live
  • Legal pages and performance pass
  • Go live and handover

The clock starts at kickoff, not at signature · two things gate it: access in week one, and your sign off on the look at the end of week one

Each milestone is invoiced only once it lands, so you never pay ahead of delivery. Fixed price, not time and materials. Everything left out of this phase is named on the next slide with a price beside it, rather than quietly dropped.

/ 05 — Priced separately

What sits outside Phase 1, and what each costs.

/ A

Running the site

Hosting managed, monitoring, page speed, schema and index coverage, security updates, and small content and layout changes. Month to month, no lock in.

€100
per month
/ B

Each further vertical

Telecom, insurance or banking added onto the same page types and content model once energy is live and earning. A rollout, not a rebuild.

€600–900
per vertical
/ C

Phase 3 comparison engine

Not priced yet, and deliberately so. It gets scoped and quoted once Phase 2 has run and we have seen your real partner data — the single biggest factor being whether your partners offer real APIs or send a spreadsheet by email.

TBD
quoted after Phase 2

Hosting costs you nothing — the site runs inside Cloudflare's free tier and the account is yours · also banded: affiliate tracking and partner postbacks €1,200–1,600

Each item quoted fixed before it starts

/ Next step

Confirm the stack, and week one starts.

Two things unlock Phase 1: your go ahead on the stack, and domain plus hosting access so week one is build time rather than paperwork. Nothing is invoiced until the first milestone lands at the end of week one. If you would rather test how we work together first, take M1 on its own and decide the rest once you have seen it.
